Less banks in trouble

The number of banks at risk of failing fell in the forth quarter and is the third consecutive quarter in which the number declined.   The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. stated that banks are posting their largest loan balance increase in four years even though the percentage uptick was a small 1.8%.   The total number of banks at risk are at 813, the FDIC said that even though the number of banks on this list are high, there are only few that actually reach the point.  For instance, in 2011, 92 financial institutions failed out of the total number of banks in America 7,357.
