This is our final part in our series of blogs dealing with home maintenance routine that ranged from things to do every month to now things to do every 12 months.

– Exterior Paint – Inspect your homes exterior for cracked or peeling paint and caulking.  Caulk and repaint if necessary.

– Roof – Inspect for damaged shingles or accumulated debris after storms and high winds.

– Fireplace – Have the chimney inspected annually, make sure cleaning is done by a professional chimney cleaner.  Things to look for when inspecting the chimney, make sure the damper opens properly and closes tightly.  Also inspect the chimney cap for blockages caused by birds or insects.

– HVAC System – Recommend having a professional heating inspector loot at your HVAC system.
