War Museum coming to Ft. Hood

The National Museum for Mounted Warfare and Soldier Center will be built at the main entrance to Ft. Hood costing $130 million.  The concept of the museum to honor the soldiers of Central Texas began a year ago.  The construction phase will bring about 550 construction-related jobs to the Ft. Hood area paying $49 million. Upon opening the facility will create 60 jobs and attract hundreds of thousands of visitors.  The facility is expected to be opened by the end of the decade.
