The Copperas Cove City Council awarded three construction contracts worth about a $1 million to improve the drainage and streets of the city. The Killeen-based company McLean Constructions contract was worth the most of $454,000 which covers six drainage improvement projects between Erby Avenue and North Drive. The second contract was to the Belton-based Wolff Construction worth $244,000 for the building of a new intersection on Farm-to-Market 1113. The final contract was to the Belton-based Dixon Paving for $271,000 to resurface and construct a curb/gutter on Avenue F.
