Aegis, a leading outsourcing services provider, announced it will hire 700 new employees at its Killeen facility by Sept. 10. The call center jobs will be in sales and customer service for health care, energy and travel. Susan Parkhill, the site director at Aegis Communications’ Killeen facility said that the company will be operating at around of 1,600 employees for at least a few months in the fall. The new jobs are largely a result of the transfer of two existing contracts to the Killeen facility. Parkhill expects them to be recurring.
Kevin Nolan, senior director and head of marketing, said that although the new positions are seasonal, there will be opportunities for “stellar” employees to continue with the company. John Crutchfield, president of the Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce, said he is impressed by Aegis’ aggressive hiring practices. Nolan said the importance of the contracts transferred to the Killeen facility represent the confidence Aegis has in the local workforce.
